Sutton and East Surrey Water Services are licenced water retailers to businesses and organisations in England and Scotland. With over 150 years of local water supply experience, the business is poised to take advantage of new legislation allowing the business to operate nationally for the first time. We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team leading, managing and developing the B2B water retail commercial function including pricing, quoting, wholesale cost management, contract management and sales performance reporting and analysis. Within this role you will develop these activities ensuring robust business controls and authorities are adhered too and supporting the business growth. As Commercial Manager you will ensure accurate and timely preparation of costings, selling prices, proposals, quotations and tenders, will develop and maintain a commercial approval process and will ensure that the terms and conditions of sale reflect the business needs whilst remaining in line with relevant laws and legislations. You will manage the development of contracts with brokers, introducers and telesales agencies, will develop and manage the MI suite for the business, will take ownership of the wholesale contracting and payment processes and will lead on defining the organisation’s regulatory position and responding to industry developments. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with strong financial management and commercial operations experience. Other essential requirements of the role of Commercial Manager would include strong management controls and authorisation procedures experience and projections and forecasting skills.
