We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator to join our National Accounts team based in Birstall. The role will be a full time, 12 month contract position working 35.25 hours per week and offering a competitive salary. The Role To provide a reliable office based link between customer and PPG. Key Responsibilities of our Commercial Coordinator will include: - Take an active role in running of customer business teams. - To provide administration support. - To liaise with all external and internal departments to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the account. - Work with the appropriate marketing personnel on range reviews and new product implementation. - Be actively involved in promotional evaluation and understand the promotion strategy. - Be actively involved in forecasting through the new IMP process. - Obtain and maintain data on market competitors products and prices. - Maintain account range database including updating costs, prices and turnover figures on a monthly basis. - Set-up and maintain account information file (trade diaries) for all departments to use. - Undertake project management responsibilities as and when required. Commercial Coordinator – Key Skills & Experience Required - Ability to communicate effectively, orally and written, with people at all business levels. - Able to work to deadlines and set objectives when required. - Attention to detail. - Self-motivation and tenacity. - Numeration to the degree necessary to accurately decipher and report on market/product statistics. - Analytical and computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email and AS400) - Organisational Skills. - Full driving licence. - Planning skills – both long and short term. - Ability to work under pressure. Internal and External Relationships - Contact with customer personnel; to effect the smooth running of the account; to build positive relationships - Working as part of an account team with Commercial Controller, National Account Manager and Marketing Manager - Contact with Production and Distribution to effect the smooth running of the account - Contact with all other departments as required by the account. - Provide support to other Commercial Coordinators as required.
