A market that doesn’t require polluting peaking power, a market that can integrate renewable energy efficiently and most importantly, a market that gives consumers the power and control how, when, and from where they consumer their energy.   The Role As part of a fast growing business we are looking to take on a Commercial Analyst. Being a start-up company you will be working on a number of different tasks, should have a curious mind and be willing to get involved with a few areas of the business.   The role will consist of working with Open Energi’s Commercial Manager and other Commercial Analysts on: ·        Commercial Development o   Market research and analysis of UK & international demand response markets o   Policy analysis and briefing of business on key issues relating to Capacity Market, Significant Code Reviews etc. o   Investigation of potential new services and associated commercial value o   Business case development and commercial agreements ·        Technical Development o   Techno-economic modelling o   Researching emerging technologies relevant to the business (e.g. energy storage) ·        Commercial Support o   Working with data analyst on performance reporting o   Internal reporting for investors Requirements   Skills and experience ·        Good level of literacy, written communication and analytical skills ·        Good level of numeracy & commercial judgement ·        Proficient in use of Excel and VBA to analyse and present data ·        Self-starter with a curious mind and a keen problem solver   ·        Relevant knowledge of project finance ·        Thorough understanding of the electricity market and balancing mechanism Qualifications ·        Bachelor’s degree or higher, MSc preferred in a related field Other information ·        Salary £35k per annum ·        Based in Open Energi’s London office ·        Flexible start/end date To apply   Please send cover letter and CV to recruitment (at) openenergi.com.
