This position is part time and may include working evenings and weekends. As an advocate of the Homebase values you will support the store operation through providing a high quality HR administrative service to the store team, monitoring and influencing key training activities and driving Health and Safety compliance across the store. You will be a key member to the Store Leadership Team including being a Duty Manager. If you are successful in joining us your role will be varied as you will: * Provide an efficient recruitment administration support service identifying sales and service focused candidates and ensuring timely responses to all applications; * Drive the staff training agenda across the store ensuring that colleagues are able to use all relevant service equipment competently and supporting the Leadership Team in ensuring that colleague skills are refreshed on an ongoing basis; * Support the Store Manager in driving Health and Safety across the store; * Support the Leadership Team in providing accurate pay at all times through the detailed weekly review and correction of payroll grids; * Support the Store Manager in maintaining the quality of the colleague environment. In order to succeed in this role, you need: * Preferably 1 years supervisory experience in a retail environment; * Excellent communication skills; * Knowledge of scheduling and payroll procedures; * Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures; * An ability to work methodically, under pressure and have a firm understanding of workload planning and organisational skills; * A passion around striving for excellence of standards, people and process; * Confidence to drive a team with authority and respect and engagement whilst being a Duty Manager.
