UK Distribution Personnel are looking to recruit experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular long term work for our client based in Basildon, Essex. Our client is one of UK’s largest High Street retailers and you can expect good quality work, excellent rates of pay and no need for nights out.  As a professional HGV driver you will be expected to carry out C+E trunking to various locations, delivering to a range of stores and collections where necessary.  Some assignments will require handballing. As our client approaches their peak season, we are able to offer work on 5 day / 6 day shift pattern for drivers willing to work Saturday and Sundays. Drivers are guaranteed 8 hour shifts and must be willing to do no less than 12 hours if required. Shifts are available at a variety of start times throughout a 24/7 operation, including early & late morning, early & late afternoon, nights, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.  Weekend only work is also available . Successful candidates must: ·         Hold a full UK driving licence with a valid C+E entitlement for a minimum of ONE year, for insurance purposes ·         Have no more than 6 penalty points ·         NOT have DD or DR endorsements on their licences ·         Have a digital tachograph and Drivers’ CPC card ·         Be fully conversant with the Working Time Directive and the Drivers’ Hours Regulation.
