Required from May 5th 2016 - CHARTERED LIBRARIAN / LIBRARY SERVICE DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER Essential role requirements: - Qualified/Experienced Librarian - Project Management experience - Demonstrated desire to provide quality service - Excellent/varied IT skills - Valid DBS Certificate Main responsibilities: - Lead on stock planning and promotion for the service - Lead the development and planning of a programme of events and activities to achieve library objectives - Set service delivery standards and oversee training - Deputise for Business Development Manager as and when required to - Carry out staff management, development and recruitment - Monitor and maintain the team budget - Liaise with the Customer Service Manager to ensure effective contract management - Maintain a good understanding of community needs and make sure these are reflected in the service development plans - Develop online resources such as websites, web-based content, social media, etc. - Produce management reports as required from library systems - Lead the volunteering project and identity need/s for future development This role is due to begin on May 5th 2016 and is contracted to run until July 19th 2016 where there may be opportunity to accept a permanent contract The pay rate is £15.53 per hour Working hours are 9am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday ALL CVs with relevant experience and requirements will be considered and sent to the client.
