We have a unique, career-advancing opportunity for talented software engineers with strong C++ skills to join an exciting and rapidly growing technology company in central Cambridge. The company are expected to grow exponentially over the next few years, with their software already being used by clients such as British Airways, Electronic Arts and ebay. With a technology team built around great people, they are seeking the best - and more importantly the most enthusiastic - C++ developers in Cambridge to assist and take the lead on value-add, business critical projects. There are a number of large projects to be completed this year, including building a new API to allow their product to focus on B2C service as well as B2B, as well as enhancing their existing, bespoke database. You can expect to work in a team of excellent developers who share the common goal of working in an agile fashion to create the very best code and products. You will also be enhancing your existing skill set daily, with countless opportunities to add new languages and tools to your portfolio. The day to day responsibilities of the C++ Developer will include: * Designing and building REST APIs to be robust and scalable, using MVC Frameworks * Built great tooling and algorithms to support products * Help implement robust technologies and follow existing technical best practices and introduce emerging best practices and technologies. * Engage with the wider development team to define the product * Help design and built database schemas to allow us to scale existing offering * Document requirements and products to ensure transparency The requirements of the role include: * A passion to build great software * Excellent problem solving skills, and an ability to get things done in a fast startup based culture * Experience using the Linux Stack or a strong...
