Business Development Manager North Eastern and Central Eastern England The position will cover theNorth East ( Northumberland, County Durham, Yorkshire) and Central East (Bedfordhsire, CambridgeshireNorthants, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk) In order to strengthen and further drive our position as a market leader, a successful manufacturing company with headquarters in Lancashire are seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for the post of Business Manager to evaluate and review the development of partnering opportunities with key clients.   Employment type : Full time & Permanent Probation – 6 months with objectives identified for completion within that period. Salary : £32,000 – £40,000, competitive and commensurate with knowledge and experience.     Candidate Profile   The successful candidate will be results focused and should possess the below qualities and more: A team orientated individual who can contribute effectively to achieve Divisional objectives. Knowledge of Partnering principles and procurement processes in the Public sector. A thorough commercial awareness of the P.I.R. Insulation market, schedules of rates and sub-contractor pricing arrangements. Excellent presentation skills and a good understanding of excel spreadsheets. Initiative, drive and enthusiasm. Ability to network and communicate with the existing external sales team. Ability to communicate and deal professionally at all levels at all times. Report writing skills Discretion Excellent communication skills both written and oral Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team Confidence to deal with people at all levels Good attention to detail with a practical “Can do” attitude. Analytical mind & Negotiation skill Strategic mind & Commercial focus Adaptable with effective decision making skills Time management skills & ability to work under pressure and to targets   This position will require the successful candidate to regularly spend time away from home in order to cover the territory effectively and attend networking events.   Responsibilities: Identification of strategic new business opportunities. Delivery of new partnering contracts. Negotiating and securing major contracts for UK Group products New creative strategies are developed and benefit the company Ensure Customers are serviced in the most efficient manner Approvals for contract opportunities are gained resulting in the gaining of lucrative contracts.
