My Client is looking for an experienced Bodyshop Controller to assist in the running of their busy production department. Candidates must have a proven track record in Bodyshop environment and have a strong drive with the ability to motivate all productive staff around them. Successful candidates will receive a salary in the region of 30k + bonus with and you will posses the knowledge that you are working for a company that offers realistic promotion prospects. Workshop Controller: Reporting to Production Manager or Site Manager Role Purpose To manage and supervise the Production Team to define and achieve company quality and production objectives Priority Tasks To manage and supervise the Production Team To manage workshop flow and to help resolve any constraint issue To ensure compliance with ATA, vehicle manufacturers and PAS requirements To make sure that the white bolt and suspension process are adhered to To make sure all technical aspects of the repair are correct To monitor compliance with Health and Safety To monitor quality and to manage quality issues by signing off the job between stages of repair, and being the final signature for the quality process To assist with the performance review process To assist with recruitment To assess training needs and recommend appropriate training to the Production Manager or Site Manager To provide support and training to the Production Team To evaluate tool requirements To ensure all new parts have been fitted To report any unseen damage omitted from the Estimate To report damaged or faulty equipment immediately To maintain the production area in accordance with company standards and other related operational processes To complete job related administration task To provide cover for other managers at various sites To perform other duties in support of other team members as required To report production / trial information to the Head of Technical ? To attend training courses Expectations To achieve quality, production and efficiency objectives To professionally supervise the Production Team, providing leadership, and promoting an environment in which high productivity is encouraged and achieved To maintain an up to date understanding of company production systems and other procedures To understand company Customers Service level agreements and there requirements To move vehicles as required To ensure that production areas and working environments are maintained to appropriate standards and that the yard and compound are secure at all times To ensure compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH, EPA and all other legal requirements To comply with company procedures and policies To promote a positive Company image, and to ensure that high standards of behaviour are maintained by the team at all times To promote good departmental and inter-departmental team spirit To report any serious problems or concerns without delay.
