Biomedical Scientist (Histology and Quality Assurance). Cambridgeshire. Excellent salary. Permanent. My client is an industry specialist within cancer diagnostics and due to recent expansion they're currently looking for a Biomedical Scientist with a combination of histology and quality assurance experience to join their team in Cambridgeshire. The main duties of this role will include: cutting paraffin sections, extracting DNA and RNA from FFPE samples and performing quality assurance duties for the laboratory. The successful candidate must have:. * A PhD degree in a Biological subject, ideally Biomedical science (Bsc/Msc level candidates will also be considered with extensive experience). * A valid HCPC registration. * A minimum of two years of experience within a clinical/diagnostic laboratory. * Hands on experience with standard histology techniques, such as cutting paraffin sections, ICH and ISH. * Quality Assurance experience (particularly within an ISO accredited laboratory).
