NSL manages outsourced services in highly regulated environments used by the public and has over 70 clients (including Transport for London, DVLA, Westminster City Council and many NHS Trusts) and employ 5,200 people to fulfil services for these contracts. Success has led NSL to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and Care Services. At NSL Care Services our patients come first. We provide patients with safe, comfortable and on time transfers. We transfer non-urgent and higher dependency patients on behalf of NHS Hospital Trusts. We are currently recruiting for permanent Ambulance Care Assistants to be based in Wolverhampton & Dudley. The role will require you to transport low dependency patients to and from treatment centres in a comfortable, caring, compassionate, empathic and reassuring, timely manner to defined standards based on the principles of CQC standard domains – Caring, Responsive, Effective, Well Led and Safe – C.R.E.W.S. Key elements of the role Maintain high standards of patient Care demonstrated by maintaining patient dignity, respect and privacy, communicating effectively delivering a service in an empathic manner Support the delivery of a Responsive service delivery to meet individual needs of patients and continual improvement of service delivery, providing the necessary level of flexibility, working beyond shift finish times to complete duties Effective service by working effectively as a team to ensure patient centred care and service Support the management team to ensure well led service by reporting concerns, communicating with line managers Provide Safe services by the safe use of equipment and vehicles, safe comfortable driving and maintenance of infection control standards Use and care of equipment Reliable and on-time Timeliness of reporting completion or amendments to planned journeys Working Hours Bank Drivers will have no contracted hours NSL will regularly offer shifts and hours these will vary dependent upon demand. There is no set pattern Bank staff are able to accept or decline the hours that are offered Shifts vary between the hours of 19:00 and07:00 The ideal Candidate Careful and considerate drivers Understanding of patients' abilities (conditions/ limitations) Good people skills with a polite and friendly manner Physically fit, as you will be required to move patients A good knowledge of the local area A full driving licence (no more than 3 points) Drivers must be 18 and older An enhanced disclosure check is required (DBS) cost will be covered by the business Able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering a 5 year period before commencing work In return for your time & hard work £7.58 per hour Pension scheme Free uniform Award scheme Discount scheme Training & development Employee Consultative Committee to represent the voice of colleagues Interested?
