Band 7/8a – Psychologist – Adult Community – Essex Band - 7/8a start - ASAP finish - 3 month (until recruited perm) Information on vacancy - Clinical/ Counseling Psychologist · It is working in a busy, fast paced team, which is the first point of access to secondary care mental health services. · The post holder will be required to carry out psychological assessments with people who have complex difficulties, and to make decisions about their mental health needs. The post holder will report to the Area Lead Psychologist and the Team Manager. · The post holder will be required to carry out some psychological therapy - offering up to 16 sessions. · The post holder will offer consultation to non-psychology colleagues to help them formulate a better understanding of the people that they assess. · The post holder will need experience of secondary care mental health services and have experience of carrying out psychological assessments. · They should be qualified to doctoral level or equivalent.
