Band 6 - Occupational Therapist ulse has a client who is looking for an occupational therapist to join the interdisciplinary team that supports the needs of a range of presentations as a result of catastrophic injuries. The Occupational Therapist will be making home visits to their caseload of patients based in the community covering Wales, North East England and Midlands. They will be treating different patients with acquired brain injury, orthopaedic, neuro rehabilitation, spinal injuries and amputees. The post will be supported by a clinical specialist occupational therapist as well as the interdisciplinary team, through joint therapy sessions, supervision and training. All candidates must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered. It is desired that the candidate has experience in neuro, orthopaedics and splinting. As this role requires travelling to different destinations across three locations a car driver would be essential. The post requires flexible and creative use of clinical skills. Our client is looking for a candidate who is self motivated and has the ability to work both within a team and individually. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to create a comfortable environment for their patients and helping them to understand the progress being made with the treatments.
