The Trust is in the process of further Transforming mental health services to better meet the needs of the local population and exciting and challenging developments are currently underway. As a result of plans to transform our bed based service and strengthen the community infrastructure in South Essex to offer more home based treatment options we are in the position to recruit a Band 5 CRHT Practitioner. We are looking for an individual who is flexible, creative, committed and able to adapt positively to change. You should also be able to work effectively taking a holistic approach to assessment and treatment working in partnership with service users and their carers/ families achieving a truly person centred service. You will need to be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, respecting the input of all the professions and professionals within this. An understanding of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team approach and the Recovery Model is required. You will have experience of working with individuals in crisis and those with severe and enduring mental health needs and have an understanding of the impact of social care needs and social circumstances upon mental state and levels of mental distress. As our CRHT services are not age related you will need to have experience of or be able to demonstrate an understanding of older people with functional mental health needs in addition to adults of working age. You must also have an excellent working knowledge of safeguarding. The post holders will need to be flexible and willing if necessary to work across the whole of the South Essex CRHT service and participate in the on call system.
