Our bakery team pride themselves in creating high quality, handmade bakery products for our restaurants and foodie shops and we’re looking for an experienced baker to join our team as bakery supervisor. From Cornish pasties to meat pies and fresh loaves of bread, we put a lot of love and care into the range of products that we make. Everything is made by hand using Rick’s recipes with local, high quality ingredients and without preservatives. As bakery supervisor you’ll lead a small team at our bakery production unit in Padstow and you’ll support the manager with the development of the team and the running of the bakery unit. You’ll receive all the training and guidance that you’ll need to develop your skills within the team and progress your career within our company. This is a full time permanent opportunity working Monday – Friday from 14:00 – 23:00, with the need to be flexible in your work approach to support the business during busier periods. The top ten things that I’ll be doing each week: Striving to achieve high levels of customer care and a high quality product. Being responsible for stock control. Operating as a role model in the production environment. Demonstrating the best possible level of service and work ethic at all times. Leading production in the absence of the Line Leaders. Organising and supervising stock rotation within the production environment, ensuring minimal wastage. Monitoring stock transfers and accurately accounting for any movement of stock. Ensuring dating and labelling of produce is carried out within the sections, freezer and walk in fridge. Controlling the production unit from a financial and quality driven perspective. Supporting the production staff in the delivery of food safety and health & safety within the kitchen (food alert & SALSA).
