Support Living Care Worker Wirral CH64 7UF £13,104 To £16,848 Support Workers, Residential, Job Type: 35 hours per week including evening and weekend work. We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our growing organisation that supports individuals with autism to lead a more independent and fulfilling life. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for providing support to vulnerable adults with Autism and varying support needs in a residential setting by providing support in everyday activities. This role will involve some of the following activities: * Accompanying service users to leisure activities/outings - our CVS day services or a location of their choice - e.g. the cinema, the park etc, enabling them to acquire independence, whilst at the same time encouraging them to integrate as a group and gain and develop social skills * Going shopping with the service user * Accompanying the service user to appointments - e.g. the doctors, dentist or hospital * Helping prepare lunch with the service user - ensuring they have a healthy and balanced diet and that dietary requirements are met * Helping the service user with their personal hygiene and personal care needs * Maintaining the standard of living within the house - ensuring it is clean and tidy and encouraging the service user to participate in cleaning and tidying activities * Providing a safe and secure home environment for the service user and ensuring no unauthorised person is let on the premises * Administering medication as and when required (full training provided) * Driving Licence essential due to location Mapa training an advantage Administration of medication an advantage Epilepsy Awareness an advantage Please note the tasks and duties outlined above are by no means exhaustive. A clean Driving Licence is also desirable but not essential. The hours of work are 35 hours per week, to be worked on a rota basis which includes evening and weekend work. Early shifts are 7.30 am - 4.15 pm and late shifts are 4.15 pm - 10.00 pm. Salary: £12,683 rising to £12,949 following successful completion of a 6 probationary period. If you hold or achieve your NVQ Level 2 or Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care you will be able to commence on £12,949 and proceed to £13,750 following successful completion of a probationary period
