Position: Regulation Compliance Auditor Location: Coventry, West Midlands Salary: £24-£27k per annum ROLE: The Auditor / Compliance Officer is responsible for helping the Institution to uphold its Royal Charter to regulate the profession by auditing information in order to monitor compliance of RICS rules and regulations by members and regulated firms. There is a requirement to prepare reports and perform risk management tasks to identify matters which require escalation through regulatory action. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Support the rollout and integration of organisation projects by providing technical knowledge and taking ownership of work areas. b) Undertake thorough and detailed review of files and produce reports on findings, recommending system controls and improvements. c) Examine records to ensure compliance with rules and regulations. d) Involved in matters that require complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical approach. e) Identify areas of risk and propose creative and pragmatic solutions for resolution, escalating matters accordingly. f) Manage workload in accordance with department Key Performance Indicators and in line with service standards. g) Provide support and technical advice to colleagues internally both in the UK and globally on a variety of regulatory subjects to ensure a consistent approach and promote best practice. h) Provide information, help and advice to members and regulated firms to assist them in complying with RICS Rules and standards. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Experience of reviewing complex / challenging information and files within a regulatory, compliance or auditing environment. b) Ability to write comprehensive reports on matters of risk, demonstrating objectivity and clear outcome-focused actions. c) Strong understanding of customer service excellence to include call handling skills. d) Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner at all levels across a variety of mediums delivered in an audience appropriate tone and style. e) Strong investigative, analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrating attention to detail and robust decision making in all actions. f) Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
