Job Purpose: Due to continued growth and development of the business and internal promotions, we are now seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the MFS Management Accountant and take responsibility for the accounting duties for a small business which was recently acquired by the business. This is a training role and the Davies Group would support the successful candidate through AAT and further accountancy qualifications. Duties and Responsibilities: Support Management Accountant with production of monthly management accounts and MI Supporting analysis on variances against budget Bank reconciliations Other balance sheet reconciliations Support Management Accountant with budgeting process Support Management Accountant with audit process Other ad hoc duties Review claim file diaries and chase invoices from our suppliers Work to agreed diary procedures and timescales Respond to supplier invoice queries Process payments for supplier invoices Update claim files to record activity completed, and mark claims services as complete Run invoicing process Support Credit Controller with credit control Posting sales and purchase invoices Preparing a detailed trial balance Bank reconciliations Other balance sheet reconciliations Skills & Experience: Some experience of working within a finance team Experience of using Sage would be preferred but not required Part qualified AAT or appetite to complete AAT qualification IT literate, including competent excel skills Organised and methodical approach High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong work ethic Are you a Davies Person?
