My client, a specialist UK based Environmental and Civil Engineering Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join their Water team based in Manchester. It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or Hydrology) and have 1 year+ experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Drainage Strategy and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro or Hec-Ras. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have a keen interest in Environmental and Water Quality projects. This exciting opportunity will involve varied Environmental Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities. Candidates will be required to assist the team to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategy and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro and Hec-Ras. Candidates will also be expected to complete Environmental Impact Assessments and Water Quality Assessments. This role offers a competitive starting salary, training courses and technical support.
