This is an opportunity to join a leading specialist retailer of Garden Bird Food locally and nationally direct to the general public. They supply locally through their well established farm shop and nationally through their mail order business. They grow much of their bird food on their conservation award winning family farm based near Spalding in Lincolnshire. Their farm shop not only sells bird food but is also a traditional farm shop selling home grown vegetables and locally sourced meats. Their family run business is passionate about British Food and the environment. Candidate: They are looking for someone with a love of wildlife and a passion for birds in particular to help drive sales of their specialist bird care section of their farm shop and offer specialist advise to their mail order customers. The role is split and involves also assisting with customer services in their mail order side. This is office based. The role involves: : Assisting the farm shop manager on a day to day basis : Serving and advising customers : Driving and increasing sales especially focusing on the wild bird care : Merchandising and improving point of sale : Assisting with the mail order business taking telephone orders and advising customers : Stock control : Working at least one day at the weekend per week Required Qualities: : In:depth knowledge of wild birds and wild bird feeding and a love of wildlife in general : Knowledge and interest in locally produced foods : Enthusiastic and outgoing personality : Ability to work in a team and work on own initiative : Ability to maintain and provide excellent customer service : Positive and flexible attitude : Attention to detail Benefits/Facts: : Part time leading to full time, requiring to work at least one day at a weekend : The role is split between working in their shop and on their mail order side : GBP7.50 min per hour dependant on candidate : Own transport required, country location Get the Recruitment Genius Advantage today.
