Cottsway is a Housing Association that in the last 4 years has delivered nearly 1,000 new affordable homes in the Cotswolds. We have an ambitious programme to deliver a further 600 homes in the next 5 years. We have recently received an A2 rating from Moodys and now have funding in place to deliver these homes. Following a recent re-structure in the Finance team we have a new vacancy for a part-time Assistant Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a hard working team where you will be assisting with the day to day operation of the key financial systems and processes to help deliver our strategic objectives. To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in an accounting or finance role, with a proven track record for processing data, handling large volumes of transactions, and working to deadlines without compromising quality of work. You will also have knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and be confident in using these packages to an Intermediate level. You will be an effective communicator with a positive approach to providing an excellent service to the organisation, along with having strong assertiveness skills and the ability to form good working relationships. Ideally, you will have a relevant Accountancy qualification, be studying towards AAT or have an equivalent level of knowledge and skill acquired by experience.
