Area Sales Manager - Automotive Finance. Area - Birmingham. Package. Basic £30-35,000 (Will pay £35,000 to secure a strong industry candidate, but otherwise c.£30-32,000). OTE +10,000 (realistic first year, uncapped and can earn more). Company Car (fully expensed and maintained). Fuel Card. iPad + Phone. 25 Days holidays (in addition to Bank Holidays). Role Responsibilities. * The role is working for a bank and involves providing prime motor finance packages to car dealerships. * Responsible for Account Management of the existing customer base in the territory. The territory is currently performing well and in fact is the best performing territory in the region!. * The successful candidate will need to maintain the existing dealer base and promote further growth from these accounts. * Will also be responsible for new business development, whether that's approaching new dealers or re-approaching previous dealer accounts which have become inactive and getting them on-board!. * Role is a 50/50 mix between account management and new business development. Person:. Experience within finance and/or within the automotive trade would be helpful but not essential. Field Sales Experience is essential. Will consider the following backgrounds:. 1. Ideal background is someone with experience selling finance products to car dealers. 2. Will consider outside of this though, open on products; if they have 2-3 years field sales selling into car dealerships. 3. Will also consider an experienced field based sales professional from outside of the industry as long as they have proven account management and new business winning ability - would need to have a good personality and enthusiasm for the role. This is a very personality driven role. Person does need to have an enthusiasm for relationship management and a flair for sales. Field sales experience is essential, person will need the ability to organise themselves, manage their own diary and competently manage accounts. Full training will be given with regards to the products offered. Credit Check will take place prior to employment.
