The role: Application Support Specialist As an Application Support Specialist you would be expected to monitor applications, deliver support to our customers, maintaining and improving databases and reviewing trends of performance using monitoring tools and languages such as Java, VB.Net, C, .Net and C#. Responsibilities: *Monitoring applications *Improving configuration of monitoring systems *Recognising alerts and providing support to customers *Maintain and improve database instances *Communicate effectively with other colleagues and teams *Complete Service Requests and Change Requests on application or environment *Carry out Trend Analysis Requirements: *Experience working in an ITIL environment *Experience using Service Desk Management Tools *Knowledge of Monitoring Tools *Experience with SQL Database *Able to use tools such as Java, VB.Net, C, .Net and C# *Understanding of Service Requests, Events, Incidents, Change and Problem Management Processes It is not required but advantageous if you have experience in: Citrix, VM Ware, Windows OS, LAN and Webserver Benefits: As an Application Support Specialist you can expect to earn a competitive salary + excellent benefits package depending on skill and experience.
