A Java Developer with strong algorithm writing skills and experience of writing high performance (multi-threaded, low latency) Java software is sought by this small hedge fund. The "Algorithmic Java Developer" will join a total software team of 4 and write algorithm-driven spot trading software that is designed for ultimate performance so that their traders can consistently beat the market. TECHNICAL STACK for the Algorithmic Java Developer - hedge fund - Core Java - Multithreading and concurrency - Algos - Performance optimisation - A fine eye for detail and a good head for thinking around sticky problems - Ability to both think quickly on your feet and keep in mind the long term strategy TRUST AND TALENT of the Algorithmic Java Developer - hedge fund This hedge fund is essentially looking for 2 main things: 1/ A Java developer who can be trusted and isn't committed to moving companies every two years as they will share a lot of market sensitive IP with them 2/ A Java developer who really enjoys building high performance software, so is "into" everything it takes to build Market beating software (from code, to architecture, to hardware, to Java Virtual Machine, to Network, everything!)
