Senior/Principal Algorithm Research Engineer. Our client is seeking a number of Senior/Principal Algorithm Research Engineers to join their new team based in London. Providing technical leadership, driving new ideas, creating IP, methodologies and techniques to improve existing software algorithms and solution offerings in accordance with the SW strategy as defined by the larger organization. To be considered for this role you will have the following skills:-. * At least 3 in one of the following areas of speech enhancement:. Voice activity detection; De-reverberation; Echo cancellation; Multi-mic noise reduction; Non-linear processing and control. * At least 3 in one of the following areas of machine learning (in an audio context):. Neural networks; Speech recognition; Voice authentication; Acoustic feature extraction. * PhD or degree (1st or 2.1) in Physics, Signal Processing, Mathematics, Acoustics, or related disciplines or commensurate experience. * Excellent mathematical ability and experience with the use of tools such as MATLAB and/or SIMULINK. * Innovative, creative, lateral thinking with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work to tight and variable timescales with minimal supervision, yet comfortable delegating to others and leading a team. * Confident verbal and written communicator and presenter. * Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to senior management as well as peers.
