Our client is a market leader in their field, they are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor with multinational experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to join this friendly and growing organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to process, coordinate, and schedule work in the accounts payable team. The Accounts Payable team processes purchase invoices for UK, Ireland, Norway & Sweden. You will be required to manage tight deadlines and a large work flow with careful management of staff time including the monitoring of monthly processing performance. Further duties will include substantial telephone and email contact to resolve accounts payable problems as required. Key responsibilities but not limited to :- * Enforces established accounts payable related policies, procedures and regulations * Ensures timely and accurate payments to suppliers in accordance with company standard payment terms and authority levels * Ensures payment requirements are accurately forecasted to aid cash flow forecasting * To ensure that the accounts payable team weekly & monthly input deadlines are adhered to * Prepares monthly accounts payable related balance sheet reconciliations (trade creditors reconciliations, accounts payable clearing and suspense accounts) for each country * Evaluates and develops changes to the purchase to pay business and computer systems and procedures * To ensure that correct coding and meaningful descriptions are used throughout the input process * To ensure that all invoices are matched up to a PO/delivery note before being processed. * Biannual appraisals of direct reports * Oversees accounts payable record keeping * Ensures that debit balances are explainable and supplier statement reconciliations prepared for top 20 suppliers in each country * Actively participates in training courses and cross functional meetings * Demonstrate that the accounts payable function is controlled as evidenced by an external audit grade of ?High? * Business focal point for all aspects of the payable process Your professional skills/experience will be : * Demonstrable experience in accounts payable, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity utilising a computerised process * Experience in managing a finance team in a multinational group environment * Ideally experience of working in a quoted group * Experience of working with an ERP You will have knowledge of : * Principles and practices of supervision and personnel management * Principles of purchase to pay process and controls * Computerised management information systems And ability to : * Work cooperatively with other departments (including Purchasing and Depot Administration teams) and supplier contacts as well as Finance colleagues * Work under strict time pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to details * Organise and prioritise own and teamwork to meet tight reporting deadlines * Take a step back to review processes and recognise and action where improvements are required * Develop and mentor direct reports Salary is ?25,000 - ?30,000 GBP/annual If you interested with this role, please send your updated CV to belinda (at) recruitment-boutique.com
