We are currently working with a defence organisation who are looking to recruit an Accountant for a 6 month interim role based in their offices in Bristol. The role will support:. - Preparation of in year monthly forecast data and budget variance explanations. - Reviewing, challenging and consolidating project forecasts before submission. - Provide advice and guidance to the finance team on scrutiny and investment appraisals. - Appraisals and business cases and monitoring financial assurance, and keeping to the timetable. - Advise on and assist with preparation of financial data for major business case submissions (check, review and challenge). - Manage the finance team of accounts assistants and accountants. - Collate and update quarterly costings for planning purposes (10 year plan) and input into the long term plan. The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or working towards) with experience of budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, ideally within a defence organisation, however this is not essential.
