2D/3D Designer - Contract/Perm - TV Production and Gaming Company This role is open to contract and permanent candidates. The candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in design for gaming mobile applications. They will be skilled at modelling and texturing objects, environments, characters and UI. They will have a good technical understanding of video / app game art production for mobile development and will have previous experienced in the games sector and familiarity with Unity 3D software and other 3D and 2D software packages. To have digital illustrative skills is nice to have but not essential. The ideal candidate also works well in an environment with peers who are passionate about making great games. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a new team and build relevant industry worthy experience for an exciting company. Tasks and Responsibilities The role requires the individual to take responsibility and deliver high quality graphic design and animations while working with specific project teams, under the guidance and support of the production and management team. The candidate must also: *Work closely with the development team to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and to a high standard. *Work closely with the game producer to ensure the overall vision of the game is being met. Essential skills & qualifications: *Experience in modelling and texturing environments using Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max or Blender *Experience with game engines, in particular Unity 3D *A good eye for light, shade, colour and detail in creating texture maps *Experience with game engines *Professional experience, preferably in the gaming industry *Extensive experience in high and low polymodeling and UV mapping *Knowledge of ZBrush or Mudbox is advantageous *You must be able to present an extensive portfolio of work Personal Attributes: The role will require candidate to demonstrate the following attributes: *A strong interest in games and gaming app design *English as first language *High attention to detail *Pro-active *Common sense *Excellent communication skill If interested in the above opportunity, please apply for this position with an updated copy of your CV.
