Two Assistant Quantity Surveyors required for Highways contractor. Our client, a joint venture incorporating construction, design, maintenance and operations capabilities, are looking to add two Assistant Quantity Surveyors to their offices in East London. For this role you will have an understanding of various forms of Contract, have detailed knowledge of tendering and procurement and good working knowledge of all forms of construction resources. Within this role you would be supporting the commercial team in relation to commercial and contractual controls. You would carry out tasks as required by members of the commercial team, such as measurement for valuations or the assessment of a subcontractors account. You would assist in the management and maintenance of the contract cost reporting system as directed by your line manager. You would also assist with the preparation of interim applications for payment, the valuation of variations and the valuation of claims ensuring they are supported by relevant records.
